Daves Market closes down after fire
Daves Markets, the Dublin market which was closed in October due to fire, has closed down, it has been confirmed.
The Irish Independent understands the closure is due to a fire which took place at the site on Wednesday.
Firefighters from the fire department are believed to have been working on the site at the time.
The fire took place just before 1pm on Wednesday morning.
The store, located on Clondalkin Road, is owned by the company The Irish Food and Beverage Company.
The company is owned and managed by a former employee of Daves, a popular Irish restaurant chain which opened its first Irish restaurant in the city in 2009.
The chain was bought by the Irish Food Corporation in 2016.
The building has been vacant since January when the owner sold it.
It is not known how many employees are affected by the fire.
