According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. GDP expanded at an annualized rate of 2.7 percent in the fourth quarter of 2017.
That is a lot faster than the average growth rate of 3.6 percent for the past five years.
The president of the Federal Reserve, Janet Yellen, has been warning about the risks posed by a slowdown in the economy.
If there is a slowdown, it could affect the broader economy.
She has called for a stimulus package of $85 billion in 2018.
Trump has repeatedly expressed concern about the country’s economic recovery and warned of a financial meltdown if the country did not do more to improve its economic situation.
The Fed is also currently looking to cut interest rates.
