NFL owners meet to discuss potential merger
The NFL’s owners met Tuesday in Washington, D.C., to discuss possible merger discussions.
The league’s board of governors, headed by the league’s president and CEO, has the final say on the proposed merger.
The owners will meet again Thursday to decide the fate of the proposed deal.
The owners are expected to approve a proposed merger of the NFL’s two biggest franchises in Cleveland and Seattle, though some members of the board of directors are expected in attendance, according to a source familiar with the talks.
A meeting of the owners is scheduled for Wednesday.
